Top 3 Warm & Cozy Winter Lattes
Yup! I am sharing my three favorite yummy lattes for winter. Time to get your favorite mug ready!
Lattes are one of my favorite warm drinks to enjoy in the winter. As much as I love Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, I equally enjoy making my own lattes at home. Plus it also saves me money doing so too. You can check out my favorite coffee brand here and of course my favorite essential oil company here.
First, what is a latte? Is that just a fancy name for coffee?? In short, yes!
A latte is usually made with a stronger coffee, such as espresso, and with steamed milk. Add in essential oils and you now have a yummy flavored latte with healthy benefits. Some people though omit the coffee all together for a more calmer latte (tea) to enjoy before bed. Feel free to do that with any of the recipes below.
Now lets get to the lattes!
Golden Turmeric Latte
Turmeric has many health benefits to the body and not just in spice form. The essential oil also offers many of the same if not more. According to Dr. Josh Axe:
"Turmeric oil is derived from turmeric, which is well-known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-microbial, anti-malarial, anti-tumor, anti-proliferative, anti-protozoal and anti-aging properties. Turmeric has a lengthy history as a medicine, spice and coloring agent. Turmeric essential oil is an extremely impressive natural health agent just like its source — one that appears to have some of the most promising anti-cancer effects around."
With benefits like this who wouldn't enjoy a Golden Turmeric Latte?!
Here's what you need:
1/2 cup Almond milk or milk of choice
1/2 cup Coffee
1/2 cup Coconut Milk Full Fat (or may use Almond Butter instead)
2 drops Turmeric essential oil ( or 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder)
1 drop Cinnamon essential oil (or teaspoon of ground cinnamon)
1 toothpick swirl of Black Pepper essential oil (or a pinch of ground black pepper)
1 drop Ginger essential oil (or 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger)
1 tablespoon of Raw Honey
1 teaspoon of Real Vanilla Extract
Combine all ingredients in blender then add to pot. Heat on stove until desired temperature achieved. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder if desired.
This recipe is delicious with or without coffee. In the evening it is great without for lavender's calming benefits and oh so delicious in the morning for the calm yet extra pep from the java.
Here's what you need:

1 cup warmed Milk ( your choice, I used Almond)
1 teaspoon Real Vanilla Extract

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy!
